“I thought about how the Segway was an elegant work of genius when what the world really needed was a good-enough piece of crap.”
I love this quote, which is the conclusion to an engaging, well-told story about the invention, hype, and ultimate failure of the Segway. I’m not a perfectionist but I set high standards for myself, especially with writing. I’m a slow writer as a result.
But my goal with this newsletter — why I’m ‘building in public’ — is to put things out there earlier. And see if they’re good enough, and on the right track, and get feedback.
One thing I forgot to write last week was that I’d love your feedback as I’m writing this here book. Does each post make sense? Does give you the right level of guidance? What questions did I not answer?
At the end of reading any of these posts please reply and let me know.
To double-down on the subject line I’ll leave you with this silly joke I just read.
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Europe.
Europe who?
No, you’re a poo!
